Happy times in Temerin, Serbia – Keys to new Regional Housing Programme homes handed over to 64 families in Temerin

Temerin, Serbia, 27 August 2020 – There was a jubilant atmosphere today in Temerin, Serbia, as 64 families received the keys to their new Regional Housing Programme homes. The total cost of the project was just under EUR 2 million. In addition to the beneficiary families themselves, the celebration was attended by the Deputy Commissioner for Refugees and Migration, Mr Ivan Gerginov; the Mayor of Temerin, Mr Milan Zec; the Director of Vojvodina Fund for Assisting Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Mr Duško Ćutilo, and Ms Tanja Kadijević from the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit Ltd. Belgrade.

The RHP aims to provide approximately 7 500 homes to most-vulnerable refugee and displaced families across Serbia by end-2022. The main Donor to the Programme is the European Union, followed by other key Donors, namely the United States of America, Germany, Norway, Switzerland and Italy.
