Belgrade 7 March 2019 – A Grant Agreement for the 9th project under the Regional Housing Programme was concluded today between the Republic of Serbia and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB). The Agreement was signed by Ms Jadranka Joksimovic, Minister for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia and Mr Stephan Sellen, Deputy Director General of CEB.
The Grant amount of EUR 19.9 million brings the total grant allocation to Serbia to EUR 132 million, which, in turn will finance sustainable housing for more than 7 300 vulnerable families by end 2021. To this day, about 2 500 families have already moved into their new homes in Serbia.
Project SRB9 sets an ambitious goal, as it offers 4 types of housing solutions corresponding to the needs of the targeted beneficiary groups. SRB9 foresees construction of 350 new apartments, purchase of 100 flats, purchase of 200 village houses and provision of 200 building material packages. Assistance will reach beneficiaries throughout Serbia.
